Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had an increase in skin moles tabs and other bumps that look a bit like rice crispies, with each pregnancy and now post menopausally They sometimes do not itch and other times when exposed to heat/moisture they itch incredibly. They actually now wrap around my trunk. I know when more are erupting when I begin to itch in a pace where there are none. in a few weeks it seems, these bumps will appear. Some never go away. I have wondered if it s fungal and have tried anti-fungal cream. Does not seem to impact the situation. cool and dry will stop the itching eventually, but the bumps remain.
Moles are very common in our body. Almost every adult has a few moles. We may have 10 – 40 moles on our skin. This is normal. But you should be very careful when a mole starts growing in size or its color changes. Melanoma, a type of dangerous skin cancer, can grow in or near a mole. If detected early and treated, melanoma can be cured. The first sign of melanoma is often a change to a mole or a new mole on your skin. Checking your skin can help you find melanoma early. I suggest you to. Advice 1. Immediately go to a surgeon or dermatologist for further diagnosis and treatment 2. Levocetirizine 5 mg daily per oral if itching persist 3. Apply betamethasone cream every 8 hours 4. Investigation – biopsy and histo-pathological examination of mole Thanks
