Hello. After 6 nosebleeds and a trip to the emergency room, I had a blood vessel in my left nostril cauterized. It was done with electricity, not the silver nitrate stick. It was fine for a week and a half and then I had another small nosebleed on the same side. I went bak to the ENT and a different doctor recauterized it with the silver nitrate stick. It has been 2 days. So far, so good. But it is awfully itchy and scratchy up there and to top it off, my left nostril is stained black from the chemical. I was told not to use Vaseline up there, to just leave it alone for 2 weeks to heal. Can you advise me as to how to handle the discomfort and this awful looking nostril? Thank you!
