Suggest Treatment For Itching In Eyes Of A Child

My 5 month year old is constantly itching his eyes, they water too. At first we thought he was getting lotion we were putting on him on his hands but we have been very careful with that since we learned that could be the issue. He is aggressively itching his eyes. Any suggestions?

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hello,

By what you say I feel that you are son maybe having an ocular allergy. I suggest you use Cromal eye drops or sodium cromoglycate eye drops for him regularly, one drop in each eye every 8th hourly once for a period of 4 to 6 weeks.

But this is a prescription medication and you will require a doctor's prescription for it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
