Suggest Treatment For Itching And White Spots Around Anus
My child has been complaining of an itchy bottom/anus for a couple of days and I have looked and seen ulcer type white spots around the anus. What could this be please? He is not in any pain just says it is very itchy. They are white/raised spots. Thankyou
Hi, Since you are saying that your child is having itching, it rules out major issues. Happy with that. The common cause may be contact dermatitis or worm infestation. If the symptoms there round the clock means, it favours derimatitis mostly. You just have to avoid irritants around the areas may be wet clothes or diapers. Even some kind of foods may cause itching. If the child complaints itch more during nights, you may check for worms. Treat him with microbicidal agents such as albendazole or mebendazole once or twice. Antihistamines may give symptomatic relief. Look likes increased sweating or oily secretions, rule out Seborrhoic dermatitis due to infection of the glands. It is easily ruled out as you already stated that there is no pain. Hope you may get that right. Still feels doubtful, don't hesitate to ask. Thank you mam.
