Suggest Treatment For Irritable Bowel Or Diviticulosis

I ve had irritable bowel or diviticulosis for years but recently I ve had a lot of gas w/mucus and a little blood mixed in, with cramps but not much stool. I recently took 5 samples of Linzess pills but quit after the last pill when I got very dizzy. Could they have contributed?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to irritable bowel syndrome. I suggest using an over the counter option such as Imodium for the diarrhea.

I recommend to take Simethicone medication three times a day for the gas. I also suggest using daily probiotics and eat a healthy diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
