Hi,

Yes this is abnormal bleeding which may be because of hormonal imbalance. It is likely caused by the ovarian disease you have. Females hormones are produced by ovary and once ovary has a problem then there is a problem of hormonal levels.

Diagnosis:

1. Do female hormonal levels.
2. Pelvic ultra sound CT scan or MRI. It will show the sizes of the ovary.
3. Surgical biopsy and histology will give you the diagnosis. Treatment Will depend on out come of investigations.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mutuma Geoffrey Zambezi
