Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods And Allergy

Me and my girlfriend are planning to have sex. However, she has irregular periods and I have an allergy to latex for which I cannot use condoms. Consulted a gynae who prescribed my girlfriend to use Sysron-N tablets for 5 days and to then undergo a full course of oral contraceptive pills. My question is since we do not have sex regularly as both stay in different cites due to work commitments, can she use Emergency Contraceptive pills? Please note that sysron-n tablet was prescribed by the doctor in order to delay her periods from 11th -16th of this month.

Hi,

Yes, she can have emergency pills but how many times. Emergency pills cannot be used on regular bases, these drugs are dangerous if used on regular basis. Regular means even three to four times a year.

The second thing is you can have sex between periods and six to seven days immediately following periods that will be counted as safe period and will not lead to pregnancy.
