I am trying to help my 63 year old male neighbor who has intermittent swelling and joint pain, that comes with a rash on the affected arm or leg. Usually it is his wrists or ankle and has been going on for years, but is starting to become worse with each episode. Tx of prednisone/and pain meds helps within a couple days until the next attack. he has seen an orthopedist, who has ruled out common conditions. His bloodwork is normal including arthritis markers. I am trying to think of auto immune/diseases possibilities that he might present to his doctor.
