Hello and welcome to HCM, Appearance of new mole on any part of body should be reported and investigated for. This is because any new developing mole can be cancerous lesion until proven otherwise. Moles with change in size, color, pain, itching, bleeding should be reported promptly. Itching associated with the mole can be allergic too. You already have an appointment with a dermatologist so you can wait till that time. Clinical assessment may be followed by biopsy for definitive diagnosis and thus treatment.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
