Suggest Treatment For Hyperthyroidism

30 year old female 119 pounds 5 2 no current dx outside of hyperthyroidism based on lab. My TSH is 0.01 and my T4 is 3.3 - how serious are these numbers? I got my results Friday and my primary sent my info to a specialist. I have not heard anything from my specialist that they recommended. I am thinking about finding one on my own that is not too busy for my concerns. Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Please tell me more details about your T4 reports. Is it total T4 or free T4? What is the normal referral limit of the lab you have tested?

You need to see the specialist and have yourself evaluated for hyperthyroidism. You need additional tests like ultrasound neck and an uptake scan of thyroid before starting on medications.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
