Suggest Treatment For High Fever And Itchy Rashes In A Child
My grandson had 103 fever now down to 101 after 2 days of tylenol. Lost of appetite, tired, whinny as if in pain. also developed some red dots at first - now full blown rash. Someone told my pathologist daughter in law that it is hand foot and mouth disease but looked up pics of rash and not alike. No mouth ulcers or rash (in or out) no rashes on hands palm or feet s sole. Rashes are in areas where he sweats: opposite to elbow and knees on inside of joints where skin is more soft and unexposed to elements and now one started between his gluts closer to his rectum where the cheeks skin meet. they start with one and develop into patches along the inside of the joint and are VERY itchy and it looks like some fluid inside the little sores???
It can be due to some viral infection for which give him some antibiotics like cefadroxyl or zifi-cv after an expert opinion along with ibugesic-plus or tynol-plus for high grade fever. Give cetrizine or avil for itching and syrup zincovit or polybion for tiredness and loss of appetite. Do cold sponging to reduce the temperature of his body.
