Suggest Treatment For High Cholesterol And High Blood Sugar Levels
I have a 347 cholesterol and 210 on sugar with inflammation in arteries and malnutritioned despite my 150 lbs weight. I have an MVP as well. One doctor says meds is best solution but adverse side effects, another says diet, proper nutrition and exercise is the solution. I went the natural way. Six months later, everything is still the same. What to do? Meds doctor now wants to give drug prescriptions and pain management. Anyone comments/suggestions?
Due to the high level of blood cholesterol and blood sugar, non-medical interventions alone may not help in bringing back the blood levels to normal. It can only act as a supplement to medications.
Metformin and statins are essential at this point to reduce blood sugar and cholesterol to normal. Both the values are interconnected.Raised blood sugar can affect cholesterol levels and vice versa.
I would suggest you to take the drug for 20 days along with dietary modifications and mild physical activity to ensure early control of blood levels.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
