Hi,

Sometimes one medication can't control high blood pressure alone and there is a need to add second and sometimes third medication.
I would advise your mother to see her doctor to discuss the possibilities of treatment changes.
Also she should restrict the amount of salt intake, exercise regularly and lose weight if she is overweight. These interventions will help her to normalize her blood pressure more easily, and need less doses of medications.

Hope I could help you

Wishing a good health to your mother
