Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. Im 43 years old. I have High Blood Pressure (controlled) since 30. Im taking hyzaar 100/25. I run 3 miles 3 or 2 days a week. Since almost a year I started noticed that my SaO2 is fluctating constsntly betweeen 90 to 98%. I talked with my cardiologist and he told me to dont worry since in my last echo cardiogram (2011 and.2013) I was perfectly fine. But I dont think that kind of fluctuation on my SaO2 at rest is ok. My BMI is 29. Do I need to ask mu doctor again or ask for a second opinion?
Although SaO2 is fluctuating between 90 and 98%, I do not think that is dangerous. However, as your last cardiac check-up was 2013, a long time ago, I think you should get another checkup.
Plus should consult with neurologist to check for possible neurological issues. Keep monitoring your blood pressure and SaO2.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
