Suggest Treatment For High Blood Pressure

My Husband suddenly has had high blood pressure his 1st diagnosis was when he was admitted to the hospital for polluks once removed he was sent with his 1st script for medication to control it. 2 days ago he was brought to the ER by one of his co-workers because of a bad headache and once again his blood pressure was high he was issued another script, he has been taking this medication for the last 2days to control it, I just checked his pressure to make sure it was normal and it is still very high 160/108. Do I take him back to ER again, he just took a regular asprin and a 2nd blood pressure pill, that I do not believe are working to get it down. I have also noticed over the past few mths his stomach appears blotted.

Hi. It would have been nice if you had mentioned the medications your husband has been taking for hypertension and the initial blood pressure before taking the medications. 160/108 is again high and I would have added another medication to the existing one or increased the dose of existing one to bring it down to normal.
Apart from medications, lifestyle modifications like increased physical activity, reduced stress and regular well balanced diet will help a long way in reducing the blood pressure.
