Suggest Treatment For Hemorrhoids And Rectal Bleeding

Hello. First of all, I live in a shared flat. 1)I have bleeding hemorrhoids and I always have a huge fear of wiping my bleeding anus with with a wet used towel(towel after shower or toilet paper after urinating), touching any kind of wet/dry surface and there s also a huge paranoia of having a toilet backsplash on my bleeding parts when I urinate. If I touch my bleeding hemorrhoids with a hand, wipe it with a wet/dry towel or touch any kind of outside surface with it (for example sitting with it on a public transport or any other public place), should I be worried about getting hiv? Would also apply this question for the tip of my circumcised penis. What if I touch any kind of environmental surface with the tip, should I be worried? 2) I also developed a sick fear of touching any kind of wet/dry surface while having fresh cuts on my hands or anywhere else (again, even anus with hemorrhoids). I have never had sex/drugs/needles or something that is not advisable. Please help me to get over these irrational fears and let me know if I should stop worrying about getting hiv virus. I have read an enormous amount of questions related to this one but I always felt that they were not fully related or fully answered. I would really appreciate your help, have a good day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First, let me tell you that bleeding hemorrhoids should be treated as early as possible. You will not get HIV but you will have other consequences as per your description of the severity of hemorrhoids.

Second thing don't allow contact of fresh cut or even bleeding hemorrhoids with the environment so chances of getting HIV eliminate. If you are not involved in sexual intercourse, drug abuse etc then you will have the least chance of getting HIV with above-mentioned precautions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
