Hello,
I am sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one can make you feel like life has come to its end and it may become difficult to imagine life without him. However, what has happened cannot be changed and you have to live your life for yourself, your children and grandchildren. They would love to see you smile and living happily with them. As you have recently lost your husband, you might feel severely depressed, but I assure you that time can heal every wound and loss will not feel this deep as you will move ahead in your life.
Try to engage yourself in some activity that you love to do like cooking, reading, writing, gardening, knitting. You can develop a new skill by joining a class for it. Even if it feels difficult to go out and meet friends and relatives, push yourself and make an effort to do so. Plan lunch/dinners with friends or go for a movie. Eat healthy and do regular exercise. Eventually, you will find yourself busy throughout day with other activities and goals and will be able to cherish your husband's memories without pain.
If you feel that you cannot deal with the
stress yourself and need some help, you can
consult a psychiatrist for
counselling sessions. He/she can prescribe you some medicines to deal with this phase easily. In addition, he/she might suggest you some support group that you can join and find people similar to you to share your and their pain. You can make new friends there, too.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Please take care.
Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
