Suggest Treatment For Headaches

I ve had a really bad headache that s been constant for the past 6 days. Ibuprofen, Alieve, tylenol, excedrin has provided no relief. I went to the doctors two days ago who prescribed me fioricet. It helped the pain for 4 hours but afterwards the headache came back. Should I go back to the doctors? I also have epilepsy but haven t had a seizure that I m aware of.

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Do you have a history of headache in the past? If no, meaning this is a new onset headache then I think considering the headache has been so persistent I think another evaluation is necessary and perhaps brain imaging as well.
If on the other hand you have had such headaches in the past it's not an emergency, you might give it a couple more days if fioricet is helping for the moment, however if persisting still another visit is recommended to look for an abortive treatment and preventive treatment for the future.

I hope to have been of help.
