Suggest Treatment For Headaches And Burning Sensation In The Eyes

Slight bulge of mastoid bone on left side, sterno-cleido-mastoideus muscle swollen and tender from mastoid to clavicle, severe headache and myofacial burning sensation above eyes. I have a c3 c4 disc herniation mild focal ridging and bulge of disc material right sided with degeneration but adequate room for exiting nerve roots according to one MRI 5 months ago. Also notably I ve had all 4 wisdom Teeth removed as of 2 years ago the hole has yet to heal on the bottom left and bottom right side I have gingivitis and I am concerned of mastoiditis as a result of my mouth infection and I am unsure if the headache is sourced by the infection or the disc herniation. I ve been greatly fatigued and having memory issues and breathing problems since the time of the tooth withdrawal. I haven t been taking antibiotics though I have been on antibiotics inflammatorys for months to no avail. I m sure I could rule some things out by taking antibiotics for a while but I m looking for your opinion regardless.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a neurologist and get evaluated.
It could be cluster headaches.
As a first line management you can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for pain. If pain persists you might require an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
