Suggest Treatment For Headache With Pressure Diagnosed With MS

My father has been diagnosed with MS. Very minor symptoms like numbness and tingling, however, he has had a strange headache he describes as pressure, which increases when he bends over, just at the top of his head. Not sure if this is related to MS or something else. The brain doesn t feel so what could it be?

Hello,

The headaches you describe are not due to MS, it is not a diagnosis which causes headaches. Judging from your description I would say that it is most likely a tension-type headache, the most common primary headache (primary meaning without an identifiable cause). It is often exacerbated by stress and anxiety. Usually, it is relieved by over the counter Ibuprofen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olsi Taka,
