Suggest Treatment For Headache, Vomiting, Tremors And Nose Bleeds

Hello, my name Irene and I have a son who just as about 8 this evening after all the eating and activities that went on that day started to get sick. First he got a bad headache in the front of head. Second about an hour later he started to shake right before he threw up. After we left my mothers house where we all gathered while driving home he needed to goand do #2and didn t know if he could hold it till we got home.. which we were about a block away. He made it and then got sick again w/ vomiting and thoughthe was vomiting blood but as he finished and was cleaning his mouth and nose he realized it was from coming from his nose. Gave him an a ibuprofen went to bed then woke up to throw up again and noticed he was bleeding again fr. hi nose. My son is 14 years old and Weighs about 160 lbs and so I ask you if you think its normal for this to be happening to him or should I take him to ER right now

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms that you have described in your son, including headache, vomiting, tremors, and nose bleeds, is concerning and could indicate a serious underlying medical condition. It is advisable to take your son to the emergency room immediately for evaluation and treatment.

Headache, vomiting, and tremors can be indicative of a neurological issue, while nosebleeds can be caused by a variety of factors, including high blood pressure, trauma, and blood clotting disorders. It is essential to have your son evaluated by a medical professional to determine the cause of these symptoms and develop an appropriate treatment plan.

In the meantime, you can encourage your son to rest and stay hydrated. It is also advisable to avoid giving him any medications without the guidance of a medical professional. Please seek urgent medical attention for your son's symptoms.

If you require a personalized response, kindly use the Ask A Doctor service and post a follow-up. Take care. Hope I have answered your question.

Regards,
