Suggest Treatment For Headache And Pain In The Head

I have a headache in the back right side of my head that comes and goes. It seems like it may be radiating from the right side of my neck in the front side which is a little sore when I poke into it. What could this be. I ve had it now for about 5 days

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The most common reasons for headaches are : sinus disease, migraines, tension headaches, trauma, cluster headaches, due to lesion or mass, neuralgia (abnormal function of the nerves causing pain), due to infection such as viral illness, due to a bleed.

If you have a history of sinus disease, then you can use pain medication along with anti histamines and decongestants to see if the symptom improve.
If there is no previous history of migraines or prolonged headaches, then this is unlikely.

It may be a tension headache, this is normally treated with over the counter pain medication

If it is severe or abnormal compared to previous headaches, you should be seen to rule out more serious causes.

I hope this helps
