Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 18 year old daughter got hit in the side of her head yesterday behind her ear playing softball. It was a thrown ball, not a hit ball. She had a headache last night and says she still has one today. Should she go to the doctor to have things checked out?
The symptoms of your daughter seem to be related to the injury. The headache after the injury is normal.
I suggest using Acetaminophen 500 mg three times a day. If she has nauseavomiting or confusion I suggest to go at the emergency room for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
