Suggest Treatment For Having Painful Lump On Perineum

I went to see a dr. About a painful lump on my perineum he said it s an ingrown hair. 2 days later I went back and the lump was much bigger and more painful. I ve been taking the antibiotics they prescribed and using a hot compress but the pain is becoming unbearable I can barely walk without terrible pain . Any recommendations on how to deal with this ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that there might be having abscess formation in the lump, so not responding with antibiotics.
Consult your doctor, if abscess is formed, it requires excision and drainage of pus.
After excision, go for regular dressing.
Ok and take care.
