Suggest Treatment For Hairy Nevus Under Eye Of An Infant

Hi, My Grandson was born @31 weeks and is now 37 weeks. He has a hairy nevus under his eye,it is 3 cm long and 2cm wide. He has not yet been evaluated by a Plastic Surgeon. We are wondering what type of treatments are available and at what age treatments might begin.We appreciate any information you can give us. Thank you very much for your time.

Hi.
As per your case history of hairy nevus, my treatment advice is -
1. If the nevus is not bothering the parents then let it be as it is.
2. You can go for plastic suggestions to remove entire nevus and replace it with skin graft.
3. Other option is Nd-Yag laser done to remove hair and also fade the pigmented part of nevus. It is done after 14-16 years of age.

Consult the dermatologist for further information.
