Suggest Treatment For Gums Over Teeth

I'm getting my braces off in 10 days and I don't want to have them off and have my gums over my teeth. I've been flossing and brushing after every meal and I'm seeing slow results but it makes me feel bad to have my gums taking over my teeth when I smile.

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your symptoms you might be having gingival enlargement over your teeth.
Gingival enlargement is very common in patients undergoing orthodontic treatment. Difficulties in plaque control after orthodontic devices can also
cause gingival enlargement. Following treatment options can be given
1. Maintenance of strict oral hygiene.Scaling and polishing of teeth may be required.
2.Antibiotics such as metronidazole and anti-inflammatory drugs can be prescribed to reduce swelling.
3. Gingivectomy can be done in severe enlargement of gums.
4. Mouthwashes like listerine can be used for plaque control

Visit your dentist for referral.
Don't worry you would be fine
Hoping your query is solved.
