Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an ache in my left groin which will awaken me at night with an uncontrollable urge to stretch , kick my leg in all directions to relieve this ache. will get up to walk around also with no effect. this happens almost nightly. this is more of an ache than a pain.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query.
Pains that you have described are likely to be due to a muscular pain most likely caused by a wrong body posture. Taking mild stretching exercise will be helpful. Pain killers and muscle relaxants will bring a short term relief. You can do a hot fomentation and apply a local analgesic gel on the area to relieve the spasm.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
