Suggest Treatment For Gallbladder Inflammation With Severe Abdominal Pain
I have been having abdominal pain. I have been to two hospitals one said I had an inflammation of my gallbladder and the other said I have biliary cholic. the pain is bad. I have tried Tylenol, a heating pad ibuprofen and nothing is helping. I have missed work. I have a hida scan in a couple of days and I go back to the surgeon next Friday. how can I get relief from this pain now

Gallbladder inflammation can be a very painful condition and might not respond so well to oral pain medications.If i were your treating Doctor, when i diagnose you are suffering from gallbladder inflammation with much pains, i hospitalize you and immediately initiate IV pain/intinflammmatory medication so as to control the inflammation and antibiotics.However, the opinion of the surgeon will be obtained while you will be in the hospital.
Even in case of biliary colic, oral pain medications might be frustrating at times and will need IV pain medications and medications to dissolve gallstone or even surgery.
Given the intensity of the pains, i will advise you go to the hospital for hospitalization and better management.Forget about work for now since staying back at home hoping to catch-up with work might only make you to lose more days.
