I m having pain in my upper belly area during bowel movements. If I try to push or bear down I have an extremely uncomfortable feeling right where my ribs meet in the middle. It s a hot pain & it causes me to feel like I m going to vomit. It doesn t happen every time but it has happened several times recently.

Hi,

It's possible that you're experiencing gastrointestinal issues that are causing your discomfort during bowel movements. One possibility is that you may have an inflammation or irritation in your upper digestive tract, such as gastritis or acid reflux. These conditions can cause pain and discomfort in the upper belly area, especially during activities that put pressure on the area, such as bowel movements.

Another possibility is that you may have a gastrointestinal obstruction, such as a hernia or a blockage in the small intestine. These conditions can also cause pain and discomfort during bowel movements.

I would recommend that you make an appointment with your healthcare provider to discuss your symptoms and undergo a physical examination. Your healthcare provider may order diagnostic tests, such as an abdominal ultrasound or a CT scan, to help determine the cause of your symptoms. They may also recommend changes to your diet or prescribe medications to help manage your symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
