Suggest Treatment For Frequent Bowel Movements And Soft Stools

My bowel movements have changed over the last 3 months. I have a frequent urge for a bowel movement. My stools are soft, small in structure, and smelly. Occasionally, my stools are very soft (diarrhea?). I m 69 and in otherwise good health - not overweight, exercise regularly.

Hi,

It looks you may be having irritable bowl syndrome. For that you need to avoid stress, lower your vegetable and fruit content for a week and maintain your bowl timings. Avoid too much stress, take milk plus curd twice daily and you can visit the nearest gastroenterlogist for further evaluation and treatment plan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muzaffer Hussain Parray,
