Suggest Treatment For Fluid Filled Cavity In Breast Post Surgery

I had a tumor removed from my breast in May. The cavity filled with fluid after Mommosite removed. It was seroma. It had been drained and continues to drain. Husrogen peroxide has been used to flush out the cavit. Dead tissue has been coming out. It is still draining. What is next step or should something different be done?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Drainage of serum and dead tissue may be followed by antibiotic treatment in case there is any evidence of infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
