Suggest Treatment For Fluctuating BP Readings Through Out The Day

Today I was treated at the ER for high blood pressure. I normally have low blood pressure but have been experiencing symptoms for a few weeks of high blood pressure. This morning I woke up with a flushed face and bags of water pockets under my eyes which led me to the ER. I was diagnosed with hypertension and put on hydrochlorothiazide 25 half a tablet daily. Tonight I feel somewhat better but when will the flush go away? I have been instructed to take my BP two times daily.

Hello,

Fluctuations in blood pressure may be due to anxiety or white coat hypertension or pheochromocytoma or carcinoid tumors or infection etc.

So you have to monitor ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Continue above hypertensive medication regularly.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
