Suggest Treatment For Flat Scarring Between Breasts

Hello. 9 months ago I had a mole removed from my chest, exactly between my breasts. I was told it s a bad area for scarring. The wound healed well but it did stretch out sideways, probably due to my breasts spreading apart when lying in bed on my back. However my concern is that the scar seems to be filling up with fluid during the day & then disappearing again overnight. So in a morning it s nice & flat but at night when I take my bra off it feels hard & raised like a little pea, then it s gone flat again the following morning. Will it need further surgery?

Hi,

The fluid buildup you're experiencing may be a type of seroma, which is a collection of fluid that can develop after surgery or injury. It's important to have this evaluated by a healthcare provider, as a persistent seroma can delay healing and cause discomfort or infection.

Treatment options for a seroma may include aspiration (removal of the fluid with a needle), compression dressings, or surgical drainage. Your healthcare provider may also recommend massage or other forms of physical therapy to help improve circulation and encourage proper healing. In terms of the appearance of the scar, there are various options available depending on the size and location of the scar, as well as your individual preferences and goals. These may include topical treatments, such as silicone gels or sheets, or more invasive procedures such as laser therapy or scar revision surgery.

It's important to discuss your concerns and treatment options with your healthcare provider or a dermatologist who specializes in scar management. They can provide you with personalized recommendations based on your situation and help you achieve the best possible outcome.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
