Suggest Treatment For Flank Pain Radiating To Legs

Hello, I have been recently having pain in my left lower back (Possibly kidney). From this pain I also have radiating pain down my legs sometimes (usually the same side as the back pain). The pain is worst when I have been sitting for long periods. It feels best to lay down and walk standing straight up.

Hi thanks for asking question.
Here is your differential diagnosis according to history provided by you.
First possibility of kidney stone has to be rule out as you have pain radiating and feeling in particular posture.Ultrasound examination of abdomen is helpful for that.
Second it can be mild pyelonephritis like infection condition of kidney. In that case associated mild fever present with sometime hematuria.CBC examination also done.Ultrasound examination is also helpful for it.
Third though chances are less possibilities of enteritis like infection condition also there.
So just now as preliminary approach do ultrasound examiantion.
If still no diagnosis then further work up is necessary.
I hope my suggestion will help you.
I find this answer helpful
