Suggest Treatment For Fever And Cough When Diagnosed Wit Luekemia

My son was diagnosed a year ago with ALL Leukemia. He has done well in the maintenance phase he is in now. He started running a low grade fever for about 4 days. Then he thought he should be seen. They did tests to see if there was something going on and found nothing. For the last 2 days his fever spiked to 104. They are trying antibiotics for different things but still no reason can be found. What kind of danger is he in. He coughs and it hurts his head. So he breathes shallow. Cant sleep. What could the dangers be if the fever doesnt go away?
