Suggest Treatment For Fatty Liver

I have been a hard drug user for many years. After a few years of relative cleanliness, I have a lot of heroin but especially cocaine for the last 14 months. And it feels like my liver has become swollen, I literally feel it happening after using. Obviously I am stopping now, but any other advice?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Fatty liver is a condition in which there is accumulation of fat more than 5%-10% of the organ's weight.
The following things can be done to overcome and reduce its progress:
1. Quit smoking, alcohol intake and taking drugs completely.
2. Take diet rich in carbohydrates, moderate quantities of protein and low in fats.
3. Take lipotrophic agent and antioxidant containing medications like Methionine, Inositol, Choline, Lipoic acid, Vitamin E and Selenium regularly.
4. Get your Liver Function Tests and Liver ultrasound scan done to check its status once in every 6 months.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
