Suggest Treatment For Extremely Itchy Rashes On The Legs

I have a rash-like area on my leg that itches very bad and is sore. This is not the 1st time that I have had it. It lasted about 2 weeks the last time I had it. It really hurts. It starts out to be very smooth and then turns scaly. Any ideas of what it might be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Rash in the leg could be due to contact dermatitis/eczema, lichen planus, psoriasis.
I would suggest to consult the dermatologist and undergo detailed examination and skin biopsy to confirm the cause.
Doctor will give following advises
Topical steroid ointment
Topical benadryl cream
Topical application of immuno suppressant after confirming the diagnosis.
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene, drink plenty of water, take healthy diet.
Hope this may help you

Best regards
Dr. Sagar
