Suggest Treatment For Extreme Weakness And Shortness Of Breath

My mother was in the hospital for a couple of days with trouble breathing. She has been home a week now and has been using oxygen while she waits to have a copd test. She seems fine other than she is really weak. What could be causing this extreme weakness

thanks for your question
I completely understand your question
COPD is a disease of lungs with many extrapulmonary manifestations like muscle weakness , cardiac disorders, anxiety , osteoporosis etc
gereralised weakness can be due ti copd as well as other secondary infection caused in a copd patients which leads to exacerbation.
you need to give her a protein rich diet and treating physician will prescribe some inhaled bronchodilators and antibiotics needed.
thanks/ regards
feel free to ask more questions
may god bless your family with good health
