Suggest Treatment For Extreme Tiredness And High BP

I have been experiencing extreme tiredness. I am diabetic, high blood pressure normally, obese. Was given an echo stress test today and heart was normal. My blood pressure hs been fluctuating really oddly lately. Today after 1-1/2 hours of housecleaning, was at 116/43 with heart rate of 86. Very low for me. Normally stays in 145-165 area. After resting one hour the blood pressure was 134/68 with 72 heart rate. What can cause blood pressure to go down and heavy head sweating with activity. I go until I just have to sit down and after hour or so of rest I feel much better. I am 68 years old, female.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history about a 68 year old female having diabetes and hypertension which has become labile that is fast changing, has tiredness which gets over after a rest for an hour or so.
The commonest causes I can think about since you have attendant heavy head sweating with activities are as follows:
Diabetes itself is the commonest cause of tiredness.
Since your Cardiac health is normal there is nothing related to heart causing your symptoms.
The sweating can indicate some sort of infection which can be easily diagnosed by tests of blood, urine, stool and other needed investigations.
IF there is viral infection then you need a symptomatic management; if there is any bacterial infection then you may need additional antibiotic cover for a specific time as per the condition diagnosed.
Deficiency of multivitamins, minerals and trace elements can cause weakness hence you need supplements of the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
