Suggest Treatment For Excessive Weight Gain And Breathing Difficulty
Hi. I am a healthy active 18 year old male, probably 10-15 pounds overweight. A few weeks ago I started having problems breathing. My main symptoms now are the inability to draw in a satisfactory deep breath. I ve had all kinds on tests ruling out a lot and it s driving me crazy. All I can see is some sort of anxiety thing but I m not a very anxious person until this started and I ve had way more stressful times in my life than I m in now. I need help
At your age (18 years old), there are some causes to difficulty in breathing, including cardiovascular and lung issues. You are saying to have run lots of tests.
Next, your weight is a bit over the maximum limit, so try to keep it normal through lifestyle and diet changes.
Sometimes, young patients are prone to use illicit drugs; if so, try to avoid using them as much as you can.
Caffeinated drinks can also cause difficulty in breathing, so try to avoid them.
Do check your blood pressure and record the results for reference. Discuss this further with your caring doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
