Hi & Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.
In my opinion you are having
Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) &
Antral gastritis.
Due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter (valve in lower end of food pipe) the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus (food pipe) and cause the symptoms.
Had I been your treating physician I would have advised you to take a proton pump inhibitor like
Pantoprazole along with a prokinetic like Domperidone once daily to be taken one hour before the breakfast for at least 4-6 weeks. It would also be good to get treated for H. pylori infection if it has been found to be present when you got your endoscopy done by using two antibiotics like Amoxicillin &
Clarithromycin for initial 2 weeks.
You need to take care of your diet when suffering from
acid peptic disease.
You need certain life style modifications for better symptomatic relief like:
1. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid fatty meals, fast and junk foods.
2. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
3. Avoid stress and anxiety.
4. Ensure that you take lots of water.
5. Go for walk after meals.
6. Keep 2 - 3 pillows under head in the bed.
Fatty liver is a disease which can progress to cirrhosis unless taken care of.
Ursodeoxycholic acid is known to benefit people suffering from fatty liver.
Vitamin E containing supplements are also useful in the treatment of fatty liver. Your doctor would be able to help you with the dosage and the requirement of the same.
Beside the medications you need certain lifestyle changes like:
Avoid alcohol once for all.
Try to lose your body weight if you are over weight.
A regular 30 mins of aerobic exercise
Restriction of fatty food is a must.
Try to avoid stress, long nights, smoking.
Say no to spicy and oily food.
Exercise as a routine and eat a balanced diet and regularly.
Drink plenty of water.
Get you bloods checked annually especially your
lipid profile, liver and kidney functions.
Hope the suggestions given above would be beneficial to you.
