Suggest Treatment For Elevated Creatine Kinase Levels While Suffering From Rhabdomyolysis

My daughter is 29 and has rhabdomyolysis and has been hospitalized since Monday. Her CK count is 73,000 and most likely higher due to hospital says the lab will only go up to that number and the numbers haven t changed since Monday. How long do you think she will be in hospital? Also she is in severe pain of walking. This is from her excessive working out.

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,

The most serious effect of rhabdomyolysis is an acute renal failure, she needs to be in the hospital to get IV fluids and monitor renal function as far as CK is high.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mirjeta Guni,
