Suggest Treatment For Earache And Neck Pain In A Child
My 11 yr old daughter has an earache that is causing her serve pain in her neck and jaw. We just hot back from the ER and they only gave her cotton balls to put in her ear and said to put warm oil in her ear which increases her pain. Is there more I can do? She can not sleep because of the pain.

The first thing to ask is whether your grandson has cough and cold. If that is the case, the thin internal connection between the inner throat and middle ear could have got blocked with mucus.
In such a case taking steam, inhalation should help in diluting the cough and should help be equalising the air pressure on both sides. In any case, it might be a good idea to get him evaluated by a doctor.
