Suggest Treatment For Dry Cough And Sore Throat

I went to the doctor last week Wednesday with a dry cough that caused a severe raw sore throat. I was given a steroid shot, antibiotic shot, and a prescription for cefdiner. The dry cough got better for a bit but now I am coughing again. In addition, I felt like something was stuck in the back of my throat. When I looked in the mirror, my uvula has two reddish bumps on it. I have a regular check up with my primary doctor tomorrow and want to know if it would hurt me to try to scratch the bumps off?

HI
Well come to HCM
You finish the given treatment, if I would be your doctor then I would treat this condition with Tab Levocetrizine 10 mg with pseudoephedrine three times in day, because this could be allergic condition this could remain for some time, just nothing to worry, you can even try pure honey, hope this information helps, have a nice day. (If there is no infection then antibiotic has got no role, steroid may be helpful)
I find this answer helpful
