Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Conceiving

Good evening! I am trying to get pregnant but the last 3 months I realised that I am not ovulating. I went to a specialist and he prescribed clomid. I drunk it from day 3 to day 7 and on day 9 I went to a doctor to see if there are growing follicles. There were 5 from which the biggest was 19.2mm and the second 18.5mm. Doctor told me that probably the ovulation would occure on the same day or the next. However, I used ovulation test and they were negative. Is there any chance, even if there are growing eggs, I will not ovulate? Thank you for your time! Anna

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Clomifene citrate is a ovulation induction drug. It causes maturation of the follicles, but many times it is not successful for ovulation induction in one cycle. Hence it can be given up to six cycles with increasing dosage of 50 mg in every cycle.
Hence if its your first cycle your gyenaecologist will give you repeated dose of the clomid .
To enhance the chances hcg injection should be taken on thirteen day of cycle.
