Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea, Stomach Pain In The Morning And Vomiting While On Amoxicillin Clavulanate

My 4 years old child had a very loose motion with stomach pain in the morning now he had a vomit with jelly like substance. Can u please recomend any medicine? He had an antibiotic amocilllin calvunate course of seven days, 8 days ago for viral fever and throat infection.

Hi,

That antibiotic if often hard on the bowels can causes diarrhea. Giving it with a meal as well as also giving a probiotic will help until you finish all of his medicine. If the symptoms get worse you should call his doctor to see if switching his antibiotic to cefdinir would be a better option.
