Hello Doctor
Im chindu from kerala.I worked as lecturer and now im doing my PhD.Im in a very confused and depressed state.Actually im in love with one thamil guy...my mother is not allowing at all for our relactionship...im of age 29...my father passed away....we were waiting for my mothers approval for last 4 yrs...i cant make my amma as well as him sad...
it is the one part of confusion in my mind.....another is abot my studies...im not happy with my subject...not getting interest with my studies....but i cant leave it...im doing my Phd at IIT....so if i left it all of them wil blame me.....i dont know what to do....others may seen this as a simple things.....but my age is going...i wanted marry and settle down as any girl wishes...but i cant do that without my mothers acceptance...also i dont want to continue my Phd...but tat also i cant leave......nowadays im alwyas thinking that i will die...but i dont know how to do that also.........feeling sooo depressed....

I went through your details. Happy to talk to you. You should never stop pursuing your dream PhD from IIT. You are the cream from lot of able people who could get selected in IIT. Now is not the time about marriage because thinking about it will ruin your PhD. Now your goal is to finish the PhD. By the time you finish your PhD one or two years will pass and then you can take decision on your marriage. In my opinion, you should marry your love. You will marry your love. Your mother will agree, I am sure. But let the time come. Now concentrate on your PhD and appraise your love about the matter. He will also agree. God bless you.
