Suggest Treatment For Dark Spot On The Face

Hi Doctor: My name is Sameer, 30 years old man from Iraq, I work assistant lecturer. My question is That, I have a Dark spot on my left cheek since almost 10 years. I visited more than one doctor,and used several medications including Hydroquinon 4%, with Retinoic acid or Tretinion with sunscreen although i didn t work under direct sun light. I need your advise about my problem? Thank you very much for this helpful website.

HI

You seem to have developed a post inflammatory pigmented scar over the face .
Topical de pigmenting agents are most commonly used for this problem .
However in your case ,you have not noticed much improvement with these,so you can discuss the options of chemical peeling or dermabrasion with your treating doctor.
