Suggest Treatment For Cyst On Face

Hello doctor I had taken treatment for skin from you (doctor sukumar) few months back. My skin cleared up (thanks for that)except for one cyst on my cheek that never went away. Its been thete for more than five months. Is there anything I can do about it or should I get it surgically removed. The cyst was huge however with some home remedies its now smaller but no signs of gng away. The area around it is darker and very visible. I can come see u in two weeks but I would like to know if anything can be done before that. Thanks.

Hi,

It seems that cystic lesion on your face may be most probably the sebaceous cyst.It is also called epithelioid cyst.It contains cheesy material.

There may be secondary bacterial infection.

Take antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs for 1 to 2 weeks.

After clearance of infection, it may be surgically excised under local anaesthesia. It is a minor procedure done in OPD.

For that, you consult dermatologist.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
