Suggest Treatment For Cramps In My Lower Abdomen And Lower Back

Hi! I’ve recently had my period and today is the last day of my ovulation. I had sex on the 10th 11th 12th & the 13th. My boyfriend ejaculated in me on the 11th 12Th and 13th of this month. I have also been experiencing cramps in my lower abdomen and lower back. Could this mean that I have conceived? We are really hoping for children

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, it could, but usually there is no symptoms of a fertilized egg implanting in the uterus. I suggest taking a pregnancy test if your next period isn't on time. I suggest paracetamol for the pain in case you feel the need, but remember major paracetamol use during pregnancy is starting to be associated with complications for the fetus.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Martin Christian Harmsen, General & Family Physician
